Thai yoga massage

What is Thai yoga massage?

Thai yoga massage has its roots in the ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda. In those traditions, the vital energy circulating in the body, called Prana, sometimes gets blocked, resulting in physical or emotional unbalances, pain and discomfort. The Thai massage practitioner applies pressure on specific points along energy pathways, called Sen (meridians). This restores the flow of energy in the body.

How does it feel?

When you receive a session, you will lie or sit in a relaxed position while I move your body through a series of yoga postures with gentle twisting and stretching. I will also use my fingers, palms, elbows, feet and knees to apply pressure along the Sen. This full-body treatment releases tension, creates a state of balance and well-being, alleviates problematic conditions, and increases flexibility and vitality.

My approach is holistic; each session addresses the whole body, as well as the immediate symptoms. The treatments are preventative as well as curative.

Thai yoga massage is especially effective to improve:

  • joint and muscles pain

  • arthritis

  • back pain

  • shoulder and neck pain

  • menstrual problems

  • stress and related issues

  • low energy
